ERNA U19's WIN STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

| What a super effort from nine great
players to take out the 19's |
State Championship Trophy for 2007 at Sutherland on the weekend.
Even though the three days of Championships was reduced to two,
it was evident after the six games on Sunday that the big game
to
win was going to be against Manly, our second game on Monday.
The first half was hard and fast with Manly capitalising on
turnovers giving them a four point lead at half time (10 - 14).
The Eastwood team came out for the second half and took
charge of the court!
They showed great skill and fantastic team work in a
controlled and determined 13 minutes to turn the score board
in
their favour and win the game by three goals. Final Score 25
-22.
After that game there were only two teams to play and win
to make the Championship theirs - and they did!
Congratulations to our fantastic 19's - you are deserved Champions!
