| NSW State Championships 2008 - Baulkham Hills
Eastwood Ryde U21s Runners Up!!!!

The girls were keen to take out the Championships
this year but unfortunately not to be …next year!!!
The girls played 18 games lost one by one goal to Newcastle
and drew one to Sutherland. They beat Manly who ended up the
eventual winners for 2008.
We had a couple of injuries and missing players Kate Hanson
damaged her medial ligament in her knee Jess Calderera hit her
head really heavily in the Penrith game Johanna Mujunen was
ill and had to withdraw and Alex Mecham had to complete a Sport
and Rec course for her work so was unavailable for all of the
games. Most games we were down to 9 players. The team are a
fantastic bunch of young women and played out of their skin
to come back from 8 down to draw with Sutherland a fantastic
effort!!! A big thank you to Marilyn who looked after the girls
and the coach over the weekend!!
