Sommerville Team Amy Sommerville, Aimee
Calderera, Phoebe Cracknell, Emma Moses, Hannah Jones, Demi
Black, Kate Germolus, Erin Looby, Chelsea Ross, Kelly Dalziel
and Louise Flint.
The 15yrs team preparation was strong and committed leading
up to the Championships only losing 2 games from 32, going down
after they were hit by injury at their last carnival with the
“in form” Louise Flint suffering major knee damage
which ruled her out of the State Championships. The team finished
in equal 2nd place losing to Sutherland on Day 1 when another
player, Kate Germolus went down with an ankle injury and then
being defeated by Manly on Day 3. A number of the girls were
in contention for selection into the NSW Talent Identification
Program but will have to wait until September for the announcement
of the squad!! Good luck to Amy Sommerville and Emma Moses who
will be travelling to Adelaide in August to compete at the Australian
Schools Netball Championships where they will be representing
the NSWCHS All Schools Team. 14yrs Rep Team:

Congratulations to the ERNA 14yrs team whose hard work and
commitment has given them a top 5 finish for the third year
in a row, at the State Age Championships 2008. They once again
displayed fantastic team spirit, great sportsmanship and displayed
some of the best games of netball over three days of very
strong competition. Well done to all of the girls!!

and Kate Young
The ERNA 13’s had some minor injuries the weeks leading
into State Age, but we were lucky enough to complete the 3
days with all the girls standing proudly at the end. They
were on fire from the first game, with all the training and
hard work paying off. A strong three days of hard competition
kept the girls on their toes for every game. With great teamwork
and extraordinary court work the girls proved themselves as
tough competition for any team they came up against. A great
3 days from all the girls

12yrs Rep Team: Coaches: Lisa
Filby, Shellie Doyle Manager: Nicole Barrett Primary Carer:Jacqui
Page Team: Laura Barrett, Maddy Bergfield,
Anastasia Boutsikakis, Georgia Campbell, Natasha Flint, Emily
Lawson, Zara Nicholas, Olivia Page, Lauren Pethybridge, Jessica
Smith and Gemma Weller.
The ERNA 12s had a great first State Age. Like the other ERNA
teams, they have been training hard since February. Hit with
3 injuries on the first day, the girls showed great team spirit
and commitment being down to 8 players on day 1. Able to get
2 of their injured back on court on day 2, the girls maintained
their good form winning all but 1 of their games. After winning
all of their games on day 3, the team ended up equal 3rd on
the points ladder, but were relegated to 4th due to goal average.
This was a fantastic effort for the girls, who earlier in the
year had set a goal to make the top 10! Good luck to Lauren
Pethybridge and Olivia Page who will be representing Sydney
North and CIS at the NSW PSSA Championships in Dubbo in 2 weeks
time. |
